We understand that coming to an area as rich in activities and events as the Park City/Midway/Sundance area is overwhelming. What should you do? How to choose? It will take several visits and at different times of the year to experience all there is to offer in this year round wonderland. You can always hit a larger list by clicking the Local Events and Activities and Attractions tabs and we also know some come to bike, golf, ski, hike, fly fish, boat, Swiss Days or a myriad of other reasons or interests but here are our suggestions.

1. Ski at one of the many Ski Resorts

Choose from Park City, Deer Valley, Sundance and many other ski resorts and enjoy the Greatest Snow on Earth. Both downhill and cross country skiing available at many venues where the Olympics in Utah

2. Tee it Up

Amazing golf courses are available all around this area from Spring through Fall. Don’t miss our favorites of Wasatch Mountain State Park, The Homestead and Soldier Hollow for an amazing golf experience

3. Sundance Film Festival

Gather with the rich and famous to enjoy creative and innovative films on a variety of topics and be amazed at who you just might see on Park City’s famous Main Street or at a film screening

4. Fishing Variety

Enjoy some of the best fly fishing rivers around and bring in a large German Brown Trout or maybe a beautiful Rainbow Trout. If rivers aren’t your thing you have Strawberry Reservoir where many state records have been set, Deer Creek Reservoir, Jordanelle Reservoir and many other places.

5. Tubing and Ice Skating

Enjoy tubing down the snowy slopes at Soldier Hollow and Ice Skating at the Midway Town Square on an outdoor skating rink. Maybe a horse drawn sleigh in the snow or just making a snowman.

6. Play in the Water

Water skiing, tubing, surfing and enjoy a bunch of fun boating at the local lakes and reservoirs. Hang at the beach and have a BBQ.

7. Hiking and Biking

People come from all over to enjoy both road biking and mountain biking throughout the area. Hiking trails and other outdoor activities are abundant.

8. Swiss Days

Every weekend before Labor Day the small town of Midway becomes the host to the Swiss Days festival. Early Swiss and German settlers left both architecture, culture and their descendants to carry on their traditions. Arts and crafts, music, food and entertainment take over the town for two days.

9. Enter a Competition

Marathons, 10k’s, bike races, team competitions and all sorts of sporting events are held in the area. Join in or enjoy as a spectator.

10. Wine and Dine

Some of the best restaurants and chefs in the world are found right here in the area. Amazing food, breweries and top rated restaurants are here for you to explore.
